In our system, we have many users who need to view only certain areas of the system. We need some users to view only transcripts, some to view only schedules, some to view only GPAs, some to view only contact card information, some to view only attendance without changing, editing, entering, adding or removing this type of data or the setup that goes along with it. Please allow more control over roles so we can grant view only to certain things in the system.

Please add this for K-12 space as well! It is a great need.
Yes, this is a must. In addition, there should be an option to view only names and contact information and nothing else. No need to see pronouns, race, etc for privacy reasons.
Need a Contact Card Viewer role that allows user to see relationship notes.
This really should be put on a high priority. If our coaches/faculty/staff are not able to access this data it could (and has) a impact on recruiting for this college. We have stepped back in time on having information available for those who need to see this information. Currently Admissions is receiving more phone calls and emails from our athletic coaches and other departments for information that should be available to them. This is taking up crucial time that we need to focus in other areas. We need a view-only access as soon as possible for the Admissions data.
We have a lot of athletic coaches that just need view-only access to Admissions data. We don't want them changing anything, but should be able to view demographic data.
Agree completely with both the poster of this comment and the additional comments made. Need much more control over creating/cloning to be able to drill down deeper to what those cloned/created roles can access, and all without having the hidden permissions of the role that was cloned carried over.
This idea needs more traction. I think I have had support calls about this for over 10 years now and no movement has ever been made on it. We need to be able to create or clone roles to pick and choose what users can and can't do. I need people to be able to use People Finder without the ability to edit profiles or they can log in as a certain role (impersonate) but not be able to change anything as that person, role.....
