The system as it now exists assigned "alumni affiliation" years to incoming users/students. It assigns the latest enrolled year as their alumni year. We are a three year institution, and we enroll four times a year. This is a tedious and unecessary task if the alumni year was a fillable space for us to fill in when adding a user. Literally every time a change is made to enrollment, it resets to the current year. I've had a ticket open in support and their advice was to go ahead and enroll the students for three years. Are there institutions that actually enroll students for future years? That makes no sense to me, but I'm willing to be enlightened if there is a use for it. Please advise. Thanks!
Has there been any thought about this idea? Please consider making this change to save a lot of us time. Thanks!
We do not enroll as often, but it does create extra work for staff and confusion for students.
I totally agree with Mary! This is such a needless, tedious task for us too! We do not enroll three or four years out, only one semester at a time.
